And there'll be love in the bodies of the elephants too And I'll put my hand over your eyes, but you'll peek through

Currently listening to Noah & The Whale's 5 Years Time

Watched the Grammys last week. To be honest the performances that night were really enjoyable, have to admit the Usher + Bieber duo dance thing was great (and not forgetting, Jayden is cool). I can never deny that, no matter how much I dislike Justin Bieber. LOL. What can I do, Usher's moves always make me go "whooooaaaaaa....". But this video I posted above? I think they're awesome. The best performance of the night for me.

And that is how I discovered the new awesome band - Mumford & Sons. It's like love at the first listen.  The music arrangements and especially - the vocal. I think there are several bands that I love because of their vocalists' awesome, heart melting and/or powerful voice.

So now I am in the hype of listening to anything folk - mainly folk rock. But actually come to think of it, lately (even before the Grammys) I have been listening to Simon and Garfunkel, Sufjan Stevens, FOTC and the likes. Then here comes Mumford & Sons. Sigh no more is my album of the week. Now I am gathering my favorite from folk rock genre singers, or those singers who also have some folk rock influence to make a new playlist for March. Oh, yeah.. did I mention that one of the things I plan to do for the year is to create a playlist for the month?

Maybe will make another post on that. Heh.

Anyway,

I am looking for Bob Dylan's though. Well was looking for his songs couple years back, after I watched I'm not there. Apparently my dad doesn't like Dylan. pfftt. And I find it really hard to find the *coughs*free*cough* album online and I don't know why I didn't go and buy his album at The Slow Boat Records Shop. That shop is awesome yo - I think it is my parents' favorite place to buy records. Every time when we they visit Wellington, they will definitely drop by and buy records that they claim can't be found in Malaysia. Well that place is just like Real Groovy, but they sell more classic ones I think.

Maybe I should drop by at the Rock Corner one day. Pretty sure they have it. Well, to be honest I don't know a place with a wide range of music records in Malaysia. I admit, I tend to listen to them online or just *cough cough* download them *coughs*.

I am slowly trying to restore my collection with the originals. That is for the love of music. Appreciating one's hard work, one's art. But yes, it is definitely one of the hardest thing to do - to stop downloading. Well, I am one curious cat.

Oh peeps, go check out Mumford & Sons. I don't think they will let you down (unless you are not into folk at all :P). Promise.

Really surprises me that the front man Mr Mumford is only 24.
