A new year. A new (mis)adventure.

**WARNING: This post is reallyyy looongg!**

This is my first post for the year 2009 (uuuu....)

I am late. 5 days late. I was planning to blog on the eve of the new year, but apparently this time, I went out with my brothers, the Ellis and Aidzat. We wanted to watch the fireworks this time.

And we chose the nearest to us, the place where we believed will pull off the new year fireworks show.
Putrajaya
Arrived as early as 10, with McD foods on our hands, we picnic-ed at the side of a huge lake in Cyberjaya. According to Adam, this is one of the nicest spots to take fireworks photos in Putrajaya. As they usually launched them at the PICC.

We were too early.

But thats fine with us. Soon after that more people will start filling up the spaces, and we wanted a really good view. We talked and joked around, teasing one another (the usual thing that we do together), and since the boys have their camera ready, we camwhore-d.

That was fun. Really =)

The fun made us unaware of the time, and by the time we realized of it, it was 10 to midnight. So we sat down, took our positions, Adam and Luqman set up their cameras, and we waited.

Til 5 past midnight.

Called Fash as she was on the other side of the lake as soon as we saw some lights sparkling in the sky.

Maybe they're warming up. So we thought.

FN = Fash Nadiah

FM: Fash! Nampak tak tadi sikit?
FN: Haha tau takk, tadi jumpa police die kata mana ada fireworks kat sini!!
FM: But last year ada...
FN: Not this year tho! Giler lawak ok.

We all laughed. We have fooled ourselves. THERE'S NO FIREWORKS IN PUTRAJAYA!

The "small show" we saw was just from a group of people, not the real one.

But I wondered why the police standing by near us. Why didn't they warn all of us?? There were even foreigners waiting!

So yeah the plan to watch fireworks on the New Year eve has failed... again.

We don't want to ruin our already-ruined-halfway night. Since we're in Putrajaya, we decided to camwhore a bit more before going back. Plus, Putrajaya has some beautiful (and they're more beautiful at night) photo spots that we can't miss.

We made our move to Old Town Cyberjaya to meet Aiman and Addin - another two of our neighbours.

Then to our first destination; the bridge. I can't remember the name of the bridge. Haha. Shame on me.

We hung out for awhile. Watched people. There's a bunch of chinese kids dancing around. We felt like joining them, but we can't understand what they're saying; they're like playing a game actually. So we continued with our main intention to go there; photoshoot.

Snap snap snap!

One pose after another, then we stopped thinking its enough for now. We have to get on to another spot. We lingered around the bridge talking and laughing with each other while waiting Adam pack.

He finished packing. and he closed the boot.

Then suddenly Adam was cursing.

We were all like... whats up???

AB: I left the key in the car... *%$#@%

Then we spent the time trying to break into his car. and of course, we FAILED. Adam still attempted many ways trying to get into the car, while Luqman and the rest of us tried to convince him to go home and get the spare keys. Thats the last thing on his mind; our parents are home. He'll surely get something from them if they find out.

He finally surrender. Thank God Aiman was with us, so he drove him back to our house to get the keys.

While the rest of us; Luqman, Elli Farhana, Elli Famira, Aidzat, Addin and I hung out at the sidewalk. Playing stupid games (but fun) like "Bom Ba Chik" and "Botol". Then Farhana realized that she has her old playing cards in her bag, so we started to play Hi Jack!

And that was a very hilarious game!

Again, I thank God for giving us such a great time when we're actually facing some stressful situations. The company were very cool too, so its not so hard to entertain them =) Sama2 giler pon. Again, time went by quickly.

After almost 45 minutes (I think...) Adam arrived with the set of spare keys in his hands. So we all got into the car, and went to the next spot. Snapped more photos. Were chased out by the guards. But I wonder why, there were other people too, and I don't see why they shoo-ed us away. Its not that we're doing something bad.

Ah well.

Then our parents started to call. Shoot. Its already 3 am. So we rushed home.

And the journey ends with smiles all over our faces. That's relieving. I was scared that they didn't have fun (considering what we went through). This was the first time we hung out together, Elli and her siblings, with us.

So that's how I started my year. And that makes me wonder, how 2009 will turn out to be like?

All I can hope for is a happy ending. Amin :)

Thats all for now. I need to start developing my graduation photos, and get the most recent photos from abang. Then maybe I'll open another topic.

For now, I'd like to wish everyone, Happy New Year, Selamat Menyambut Maal Hijrah. May the new year brings you happiness and greatness in life.

Jesselton Tonight.

Hosannas under a blood red sky.
We danced a tune to Van’s surrender.
Bless the man, he’s singing and howling sweetly to the moon!
And then you took me by the hand again and said,
“I love you so. Would you fall in love in Jesselton tonight?”
Pete Teo's Jesselton Tonight

I was feeling really down on Saturday night. And felt better the next morning. So much better.

For that, I'd like to thank Ibu and my dear friends. What I'd do without all of you XD

So we went to the Diwali Festival. It was not bad. The stage was really beautiful! And the food stalls are at the other side of TSB, and the retail stalls are in the same area as the main stage. Lagi besar than Asean Night Market Festival. Waiting on the line to get in was long tho. But can't blame the people inside; there is a lot to explore. A lot of things to see.

Well I think its worth lining up. Cuz I got my Murukku! And a poster and a fridge magnet (thanks Suf!) of Dr Suresh from Heroes. Actually its not really a poster. But yeah its not like I am going to post it up. Haha. But what the heck. I love it anyway. Although I don't quite like his character for this season. Its sad. Even Peter makes me sad :(

The highlight of the day:

This year I get to watch the diwali fireworks from my own living room's window. Last year I only watched it from Palie's window. But through a reflection of the next door building. So tak live lah. Sedih je.

But I don't care anymore. I get to watch it live this year and that make my heart smile all night. and InsyaAllah, I can watch Guy Fawkes this year. Together with that ride of your life show. I soo cannot wait!!=D

Taken from the website:

The Pelorus Trust Sky Show, the fireworks display held on 5 November on Wellington Harbour, attracts a huge public viewing audience of 30,000 people to the Wellington Waterfront.

The Ride of Your Life Spectacle will take place in the three hours leading up to the fireworks, and will entertain everyone, taking us to the Pelorus Trust Sky Show at 9pm.

The waterfront will come alive with with a demonstration of thrill rides in a choreographed show on the waterfront near Frank Kitts Park as jetboats, thundercats, waterskiing, wakeboarding and other watersports go through their paces.

The crowd will be able to make their gold coin donations in exchange for a Whittaker's Sante Bar at the entrances to the waterfront.

Transport providers have agreed to make donations to Wellington Free Ambulance based on public use of buses and trains to attend the spectacle, so make sure you take a bus or train to this fantastic event on 5 November!

Hopefully I can witness this event. Amin~!

The Birthday Brunch or The Wild Brunch? he he

the looks of their faces are priceless. I'm happy that they're happy!

Haz turned 20 today :D

and QL will be turning 22 soon :D

we're all full & happy!

So the weekend-fun continues with the birthday brunch for our dear friends Haz & Qiqi. Well Haz was the one who requested for a brunch on her birthday since Sunday was one of the double-mussle days. And I think it'd be a good idea if we just celebrate her birthday during the brunch & since miss Qiqi's birthday is just 2 days away, we just combine both celebrations together.

I don't know whether Haz was aware that there's a cake coming. But I'm sure Qilah was surprised just now. The look on her face just... priceless. Never seen her as happy as just now!

It was raining the whole morning but that doesn't bring our moods down. In fact, Nonie was a bit high XD. And we decided to dress up. It was a bit weird cuz we usually will go casual (especially during brunch) and like me, I was usually in my tee+jeans whenever we had brunch with my family friends. But who cares, it was a special occasion :)

Indeed, it was really fun. Feel like doing it again. and the mussles were... as usual... NICE!!! love em :D

So yeah that's the end of the fun weekend. Now its already 9:30pm (tak sedar pon) and I am still lazily browsing thru the net.

And my workshop presentation is just 2 (freaking) days away je.

God its already Week 4. And I still think I haven't pick up my pace :(

The day I turned 20.

Well, they ajak-ed me to celebrate my birthday. I honestly didn't really think about it, cuz I know some of us have a test on Monday. So I thought maybe I can wait til the other weekend (which is this weekend) then I can ajak them out for a dinner. They insisted to celebrate it on my birthday. So I agreed to go out on Saturday night.

So in the morning, Palie treated me a birthday breakfast. The bestfriends ritual thing for him. Well, he didn't get to do it for Nonie cuz we all had to go to the civic square on her birthday. Oh and I haven't talked about Nonie's celebration right? Anyway, we walked around town til 2pm (he insisted to make me stay with him for a few hours. he gave so many reasons why I should stay and hang around in the city... hahaha). And we got home this is what I see in front of the door...
and another door inside says...
and yes. There they are. They welcomed me with a special birthday song...

They planned this (with Nonie as the kepala) for me. Its a small celebration and yet very nice. I just love the surprises! Well I do expect they're going to do something for me. Prolly during the dinner. But I was wrong. Its earlier than I expected.

Anyway here are more pics...
cute wig kan? I'm supposed to be the barbarian queen I guess. ha ha ha ha!
My mini zoo. And its Tiramisu! Thank you Fazuin!!! I love youu!the girls who came. and the boys :)the housemates. love you guys!!! muahx2the presents. The magnet frame from Abang Rudy, the small picture wallet from my darling Ila, the clutch from the bitches and friends, and the cute teddy from Mika and 'Izzati. Well, I don't fancy teddy bears. But not this one. Its musical and its Super Cute!!!!!! oh the hand made card that has many names innit. Its made by Nonie. Love it! TQ!

I can't stop smiling the whole day! Although that day I was quite sad cuz I knew they have Actorlympics back in Malaysia on my birthday and I can't watch em. Adam went. Ah jealous! I miss Actorlympics!!

To u guys (especially Nonie), Thank you for the super fun celebration. Love you guys to bits. Oh and Palie, so sorry I complained too much when you didn't let me to go back home early. and thanks for your time. haha. To those who came, thank you so much!

So yeah thats about it... a day to be remembered. Highlight for the year. Now I am 20 years old already. No more -teen at the back! wahhh! Honestly I am a bit scared... (one more year to go to legally enter the adulthood... hahaha) but yeah age is just a number kan?? he he he.

Ah I have to sleep now. I have to kemas my room and go out to the city to buy sum stuffs. Good night everyone!

p/s: to alfie... do you realize the actorlympics we went was the "superheroes" time off? ha ha ha.
