Melodi indah yang kucipta, hanya untuk luahkan rindu padanya.

Currently on repeat: Aizat Amdan's Lagu Kita

So Jue & Mukrim tied the knot last weekend. She's my first close friend who got married!

Not gonna talk about it in detail, as I don't have the time :P. But it was simple, and beautiful. Weather was perfect. Crowd was good. Food was yummy, altho I don't get to eat much (sadd), and the performance is awesome! I love everything about it!

And I didn't have many photos of me.. because I was busy doing this:

Yeah. I'm one of the photographers of the day!

And to be specific...

Check out my camera - its huugee! Its actually the fuji instax!

Kind of a replacement for Polaroid. Since the Polaroid films are hard to find now, I decided to just change the camera/ LOL. It was quite an attraction. Since its quite big, and doesn't look like a SLR/DSLR

Anyway the "Instax project" was our gift to them. So not gonna reveal much here. ehe.

It was tiring, but fun. And memorable! Since the whole event is kind of different. I dressed up differently too. Feels like I'm back in the 90s, as I used to wear dresses to kenduris when I was younger. However, those were all last-minute shopping. Do you like it? .. I looked a bit pregnant there didn't I? Oh well.

That's about it for now.

I guess this marks the point where I should look forward for more close friends' weddings. More to come next year maybe? InsyaAllah :)

p/s: thanks to Abu's friend, now I am in love with this song. Can't stop listening to it!::')

I'm all black and white inside, monotonous from left to right, I decorate my house with things you love, just in case you show up, in case you show up.

Currently on repeat: Yuna's Decorate

I finally watched Yuna live and she started off with Decorate. One thing I can say about this song is that, I just can't get enough of it.

I know, this song is already perfect. But somehow, every single time when I listen to it, there's always a slight of hope that maybe she will extend this song with something, like another verse for example. I just want more.

I think that is a good thing.

Yuna is just brilliant. 'Nuff said.

THE WOWSOME WOW!

A lot of information are taken from http://www.worldofwearableart.com/
Caution: this post is gonna be long. So bear with me peeps. haha.

Every year starting the 2nd year of my stay in Wellington, W.o.W has always been on my 'must-see list' of the year. Unfortunately for me, luck wasn't on my side. But not THIS YEAR! Cuz I found the suitable time, and I have someone who also wanna go to this event, so last week's Friday, that was the 2nd of October, Ain and I went to the World of WearableArt show!!

How was it? I have mentioned this everywhere (fb status & twitter, & my title up there) but I am going to say this again. It was WOWSOME!! the whole thing was just magical... I was in awe all the time. I am like a little girl watching a fairytale comes to live, with "wooowww" and "OMG!...cantik gilee" or ... a lot of other mumbling and whispering to Ain on how much I love those beautiful wearable arts. I hope she wasn't distracted. hehe. If I was quiet at that time, it's because my jaw just dropped. Like how Bruce in Bruce Almighty said : it was B-E-A-utiful!

It's like a combination of a fashion show and Disney's Fantasia. Only live, right in front of your eyes.

There were 7 sections altogether, and my favorite will be:

The Illumination Illusion Section
Float, Fly, Flow
Using the magic and illusion of UV light, create a garment to perform in and WOW the audience that appears to float, fly or flow through space and levitate above the stage. Consider the concept of the body as the focus.

interesting kan? Yes, I am sure it WOWs everyone. And this is my personal favorite garment for this section, and for the whole event:

Wanderer by Sue Caderman of Motueka
Inspired by an American Indian legend about butterflies.
Made of: Nylon, Cotton, Paint, Netting, Wire, Paper

The butterflies around the girl just fly around her. It's so beautiful. But she's just the runner-up of that section. The winner is this:

Into Thin Air by Marie Gant Roxburgh of Christchurch
Like roman relics that disappear over time, so too do our memories, fading into thin air.
Made of: Foamboard, dowel, photocopied photos, MDF

She deserved it. This piece is so detailed - it is actually layers of papers (i think its to create different shades of the face), and yes, it moves around, then it disappeared, then it appears again, then poof! gone. Mesmerizing! If you see it yourself you'll agree with me..

So the other 6 sections are: Children's Section (At the Bottom of the Garden), South Pacific Section (Patterns of the Pacific), Open Section, Creative Excellent Section (Theme: Fold - transformation of the flat surface through folding to emerge as a sculptural WearableArt garment), Man Unleased Section (Magnificent Men), and Avant Garde Section (where art and fashion collide!)

The overall winner for this year's W.o.W:

Lady of the Wood by David Walker of the US
The ball gowns of the 18th & 19th centuries.
Made of: Mahogany, lacewood, maple, cedar

No wonder this is 2009 Winner Supreme Montana WOW Award and winner for the section, the Avant Garde. It is made of wood basically. hehe.

My other personal picks:

The Dandelion Clock by Tracey Koole of Auckland
In folklore, the hour is told by the number of puffs it takes to blow all the seeds of a dandelion globe
Made of: Plastic, fibreglass, foam and fabric
Winner of the Children Section

Well this is my favorite too for this section. Who doesn't like dandelions? From time to time the two small ones will fly away from the main dandelion. So cute!

Queen Adelaide by Emma Whiteside of Wellington
Remnants of a forgotten NZ industry are reflected in the splendour of a unique queen, honoured in a shimmering burst of light.
Made of: Automotive radiator copper, fabric, aluminium
Winner of Shell Sustainability Award

And guess what? She's a Vic Student! bangga tak?

There are more, but they were not featured in the website as they are not winners. So I don't have their photos.
Anyway, who thinks this one looks scary?

Lagarus Ovatus En Masse by Catherine Anderton of Wellington
When this mystical creature leaves his warren, he doesn't crawl out of the ground, he is the ground.
Made of: Grass, faux fur, fibreglass, fimo
Winner of First Time Entrant Award and Runner up for the Open Section

Haha. I think he looks scary. Reminds me of that Donnie Darko creature, or like a combination of an armadillo and a rabbit. kan? Ah well, he wins 2 awards that night. Not bad!

More photos that night:

in case you're wondering, I am trying to imitate the pose at the back.
and haha since we're going to this kind of event, I've decided to wear something so-called "artsy" than how I usually wear. So I choose color-clashing stuff. Another reason is that I really wanna wear that shocking pink tights. haha.

So that's the end of my WoW story. I wish I can go again next year, and definitely going to pick the more expensive seat. Seriously its worth the money you spent. Those who wants to experience something really cool, magnificent, beautiful, something surprising, please go.

p/s: Oh thank you Ain, big time! thank you for joining me! it's more fun to go with you!! we should hang out more! Summer k?

Holiday Wrap-up.

Currently on repeat: BEP's I Got a Feeling.

1. I think after my first year here, this is another long winter holiday. Almost a month. And... apparently I stayed home the whole time!

2. I did some beading.

3. And some doodling. I think I am going to start filling up the huge Jordi Labanda notebook with the doodles seriously. Sometimes I wish I have my own Moleskine. The small soft cover one I mean. Because the JL notebook that I have is too big. But then the notebook is too nice for me to just scribble up some notes. Definitely I must fill it with stuff that I find memorable and worth to keep. hee.

4. I did my marathon of TV Series to catch up with Pushing Daisies and Supernatural.

It's sad that 2nd season will be their last. And so far I just watched half of them. Since they're finishing soon, so I am going to take it easy. Probably will just watch them from time to time.

But yeah, watching this movie will definitely made me feel like baking a pie for myself. And since I am too lazy to look for strawberries and cherries, so I went to Sweet Mother's Kitchen. To me their pies are the best.

In 2-3 days, I managed to finish up both Season 3 and 4. Well, honestly I find the storyline is so twisted and way too much for my liking, but surprisingly I still love it. I just love the two brothers. Can't wait for Season 5 to come out soon, and I am happy that I am back on track.

5.
I make it a point to have lunch/tea at Gloria Jeans the Borders to have my weekly dose of magazines, my favorite vegetarian quiche and mango chiller. Yeah although its cold outside, I just cannot resist the chiller.

Oh this picture was taken last year, by Haz. And no that's not mango chiller. Haha.

6. Since all of my holiday plans were canceled, I decided to spend the money on the unnecessary stuff happily. Like these:
Got these from Diva. I find them pretty cute, and yeah kononnye nak make these as self-reminders; to live life, and try to make peace with myself, and at the same time to find ways to spread some peace-ness around the world. haha. WTV. They're just so cute and cool to me :)
and I got myself this:
Yes I think I am out of my mind. Probably won't be wearing this until the 19th/20th of November. Haha. I don't own both of them. So guess which one is mine? It's obvious right?

Oh and I bought more tees this time. So much of trying to avoid them. But this time I opted for oversized ones, suddenly I just have the urge to go more laid back and towards street style. I even bought some neon-colored tights. And honestly don't know when I am going to put them on. haha.

Probably I should look for skinny jeans, and some new plain and long (longer than the ones I already have) cardies. And somehow I feel like getting myself some funky leg warmers.

Got myself a pair of presentable walking shoes. Finally. But until today, it is still "eating" my feet. I still have problems of getting a perfectly good pair. Can anybody drop me some tips please? It's so sad. Hopefully it'll expand soon.

I did this to my NDS:

Okay maybe this is not as cool as GelaSkins, but it is cheaper, and I think it's not too bad. Thanks to Smiggle. It's more like a kid stationery shop, but I just love the shop! I even bought a pack of cute playing cards. Oh I kinda making a collection of playing cards. Started it since 2nd year. But I haven't really started serious collecting yet.

I even shopped some beads online, and now I am looking for this:

But I am still contemplating. By far I like colorsplash the best. I don't know why. Should I?

7. I watched tons of movies, as usual. Haha. And I find myself connected to the character Cristina in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Probably will do a post on this. I bought Spirited Away DVD two days ago so terubat rindu kat movie tu. Hehe. I just watched Once and I like it. The soundtrack is just so nice! Another movie that I love is Speed Racer. Bring back the memories of my childhood. haha.

8. Went to Japan Festival yesterday and was disappointed. Was expecting more sushi stalls, and more craft items on sale. The fashion show is cute though :)

9. I have a little bit more to blog but my time is up so I am just going to leave it as it is. Other stuffs were not interesting pon. I have to go out for awhile, although the weather is pretty sucky now. Civic just called to inform that all Harry Potter movies is available for me so I have to go and pick up. We're gonna do marathon soon. I don't know when. Must be before the 6th movie comes out.

p/s: to add up : 10. Surprisingly I find my holidays were not as bad as I think. Alhamdulillah.

Viva La Vida.

No words can describe how awesome they were. Really. I wish I have an ability to go back in time to witness it again. Although I kinda know what songs they're going to play, I am still surprised and went all crazy whenever they start a new song. They're superb. True entertainers, always full with surprises. Make us all love them even more.

My favorite part? It has to be when they performed "Politik" and they continued with "Lovers in Japan" straight. Then during "Lovers in Japan", there's colorful butterflies confetti rained on us. It was the perfect moment. Perfect combination of songs. At least for me.

And I just knew how it feels like singing my heart out. I thought I knew, but I guess not until I sang "Fix You" together with them. Well, it is a tear-jerker song. I almost cried. Nasib baik tak nangis, if not malu je kot.

Actually I feel like just crying all the way. I was so happy to be there, and at the same time I was a bit sad cuz somehow I still wish that my lovely bitches were there with me. I am so glad that I can join Iqmal that nite. Thanks Iqmal, I really had fun going crazy with you XD

Its different this time, back during Muse concert, Luqman and I was seperated by the crowd. But this time? I get to watch the whole thing with a friend. Its really fun. haha.

And I have said this before, and I am going to say this again. THANK YOU babes. For the best present ever. I won't forget this. I love you guys so much, and this made me miss you babes even more. *biggest virtual hug ever*

And to all of you; Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and Jonny Buckland, thank you for such an amazing time. I still can't believe myself that you guys were right in front of me that night, and you guys were so close! Although I had to compete with those tall people on the floor to get a good view of you guys, but its so worth it. It was a superb, amazing, awesome experience. I am so grateful that I was there, I was in the crowd watching you guys.

After years and years of waiting. At last, I can watch them live =D They'll always be my favorite.

I LOVE YOU COLDPLAY!

And this is awesome!:

One of the most beautiful moments that night =)

A new year. A new (mis)adventure.

**WARNING: This post is reallyyy looongg!**

This is my first post for the year 2009 (uuuu....)

I am late. 5 days late. I was planning to blog on the eve of the new year, but apparently this time, I went out with my brothers, the Ellis and Aidzat. We wanted to watch the fireworks this time.

And we chose the nearest to us, the place where we believed will pull off the new year fireworks show.
Putrajaya
Arrived as early as 10, with McD foods on our hands, we picnic-ed at the side of a huge lake in Cyberjaya. According to Adam, this is one of the nicest spots to take fireworks photos in Putrajaya. As they usually launched them at the PICC.

We were too early.

But thats fine with us. Soon after that more people will start filling up the spaces, and we wanted a really good view. We talked and joked around, teasing one another (the usual thing that we do together), and since the boys have their camera ready, we camwhore-d.

That was fun. Really =)

The fun made us unaware of the time, and by the time we realized of it, it was 10 to midnight. So we sat down, took our positions, Adam and Luqman set up their cameras, and we waited.

Til 5 past midnight.

Called Fash as she was on the other side of the lake as soon as we saw some lights sparkling in the sky.

Maybe they're warming up. So we thought.

FN = Fash Nadiah

FM: Fash! Nampak tak tadi sikit?
FN: Haha tau takk, tadi jumpa police die kata mana ada fireworks kat sini!!
FM: But last year ada...
FN: Not this year tho! Giler lawak ok.

We all laughed. We have fooled ourselves. THERE'S NO FIREWORKS IN PUTRAJAYA!

The "small show" we saw was just from a group of people, not the real one.

But I wondered why the police standing by near us. Why didn't they warn all of us?? There were even foreigners waiting!

So yeah the plan to watch fireworks on the New Year eve has failed... again.

We don't want to ruin our already-ruined-halfway night. Since we're in Putrajaya, we decided to camwhore a bit more before going back. Plus, Putrajaya has some beautiful (and they're more beautiful at night) photo spots that we can't miss.

We made our move to Old Town Cyberjaya to meet Aiman and Addin - another two of our neighbours.

Then to our first destination; the bridge. I can't remember the name of the bridge. Haha. Shame on me.

We hung out for awhile. Watched people. There's a bunch of chinese kids dancing around. We felt like joining them, but we can't understand what they're saying; they're like playing a game actually. So we continued with our main intention to go there; photoshoot.

Snap snap snap!

One pose after another, then we stopped thinking its enough for now. We have to get on to another spot. We lingered around the bridge talking and laughing with each other while waiting Adam pack.

He finished packing. and he closed the boot.

Then suddenly Adam was cursing.

We were all like... whats up???

AB: I left the key in the car... *%$#@%

Then we spent the time trying to break into his car. and of course, we FAILED. Adam still attempted many ways trying to get into the car, while Luqman and the rest of us tried to convince him to go home and get the spare keys. Thats the last thing on his mind; our parents are home. He'll surely get something from them if they find out.

He finally surrender. Thank God Aiman was with us, so he drove him back to our house to get the keys.

While the rest of us; Luqman, Elli Farhana, Elli Famira, Aidzat, Addin and I hung out at the sidewalk. Playing stupid games (but fun) like "Bom Ba Chik" and "Botol". Then Farhana realized that she has her old playing cards in her bag, so we started to play Hi Jack!

And that was a very hilarious game!

Again, I thank God for giving us such a great time when we're actually facing some stressful situations. The company were very cool too, so its not so hard to entertain them =) Sama2 giler pon. Again, time went by quickly.

After almost 45 minutes (I think...) Adam arrived with the set of spare keys in his hands. So we all got into the car, and went to the next spot. Snapped more photos. Were chased out by the guards. But I wonder why, there were other people too, and I don't see why they shoo-ed us away. Its not that we're doing something bad.

Ah well.

Then our parents started to call. Shoot. Its already 3 am. So we rushed home.

And the journey ends with smiles all over our faces. That's relieving. I was scared that they didn't have fun (considering what we went through). This was the first time we hung out together, Elli and her siblings, with us.

So that's how I started my year. And that makes me wonder, how 2009 will turn out to be like?

All I can hope for is a happy ending. Amin :)

Thats all for now. I need to start developing my graduation photos, and get the most recent photos from abang. Then maybe I'll open another topic.

For now, I'd like to wish everyone, Happy New Year, Selamat Menyambut Maal Hijrah. May the new year brings you happiness and greatness in life.
