Paint my face right so I can be a pantomime.

Currently listening to Operator Please's Pantomime

When Sirius died, I was frustrated. But not that sad. I remembered there's a girl in my school who broke down into tears because of this. I think that was a bit funny. Okay I'm evil :P
When Dumbledore died, I got mad. But at the same time anticipated. You know this time, it is all down to Harry Vs The Dark Lord.

Okay, that was book #3 and #6. Come to think of it, I didn't get really emotional reading them all. Until book #7 comes out.

That's when I felt like I am a part of it. Like I am one of them. I got really emotional when Hedwig was attacked. Haha. Okay that's a lil bit too much isn't it? But yeah that's me alright. Then I got even more upset when Lupin & Fred were killed.

Even more and more upset when! Snape is dead.

Never thought that would bother me so much, considering that I was annoyed by his character at first, and I kind of expecting it to happen. You know, why he's done what he did.

Maybe its because of the detailed explanation, a whole chapter of it. It was well written, and it changes most people perception towards the man himself. Including mine.

Usually people will choose the book over the movie(s). But for me? Not with the seventh book. I think the idea of having 2-part movie to cover the final book is brilliant. They didn't leave out the details so much so that's great. Even better that, they somehow manage to make it more real. 'Amplifying' what's already in the book.

Truth is, it really stirs up the emotions that you already feel when reading the book.

I almost cried watching Hedwig fall from the sky, watching Hogwarts was tear down into pieces, watching the others got killed.

And.... I almost weep watching the Snape part.

It was really that good.

But sadly, now it is over. My childhood has ended.
But I am glad I grew up with it :)

Sambutlah sayang, salam cintaku ini. Untukmu sayang, demi kasihku ini. Kasih dan sayang terus bersemi.

Currently listening to Amy Mastura's Jawapan Kasih

So yesterday I finally found a compilation of Disney's songs from the movies. Not remakes, or pop versions. And I actually asked my dad to play it in the car.

Hah. those songs. They just took us back to the good ol' days.

And we realised how different it was, as compared to our brothers. Our story is different. As it sets out at other place, different crowd, different silly adventures.

I am blessed to have two different childhood, the one before we moved to Bangi, and the one when we were here for good. To talk about it would take time, and I think I talked about some of them in different2 posts. Check out the tags Childhood or BFFY stories if you'd like to. So yeah, not gonna talk about it now :P

Alhamdulillah :)

p/s: I downloaded the first two albums of Amy Mastura. amik kau!

Now that the truth is just a rule that you can bend

Currently listening to: The Metric's Black Sheep

How I wish I am in Hong Kong now. To witness this. And to get these for myself.

She's so iconic. Makes me want to have a white rabbit for myself and dress her up everyday or something. Hehe.

Anyway, before it's too late, to my Chinese friends,

Happy Chinese New Year!
May the year of rabbit bring you good fortune & Happiness :)

So next year it'll be the year of Dragon? Awesome!

p/s: Maybe this is the good year for Elmer Fudd to hunt for Bugs Bunny? Okay kidding. just kidding. Can't help myself. Rabbits reminded me of 1. Fifi Lapin 2. Elmer Fudd hunting Bugs Bunny and his quote "it's a wabbit twack!" oh and 3. My old plaster of paris.

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

Finally! I was looking for this song for ages! I was introduced to it by one of the nursery rhymes tapes at home when I was little, so I can't remember the wordings. And whenever I heard of this song in Lite FM (since it was sung by Simon & Garfunkel) which is actually very rare for the DJ to choose this song, I always missed the part when the DJ mentioned the title. And I think I have asked my mom, but I can't remember the name because she told me when we were in the car, and I didn't jot it down.

It's quite a relaxing one. Have a go if you never heard of it :)

Oh, thank you Flight of the Conchords! hee. If its not for you, I don't think that I'll find this song.

I heart them!

p/s: don't forget to turn off the imeem player ;)

BFFY

Everyone sure has their BFFY right. Here's mine:

That's him alright. I've known him for as long as I can remember. Well, this is not a "BFFY photo moment". Apparently I was at the side, and my dad snapped me in half. I wonder why. That wasn't cute at all. But at least I can see myself smiling there. So that's good.

Well its a post for my BFFY. So it should be more about him, than about me. Although I am actually so into myself, so it feels a bit uneasy when I look at this kind of picture.

Okay before we moved on with other pictures. I just want to point out something - he always know what he wants. And that is how much he loves Batman. I think it is not bad for a kid to start drawing, and it's even better for a kid to use a computer programme, which I think that's paint, to draw. Salute lah ;)

Maybe I discovered mine too; to always be in a picture. Camwhore freak. Or maybe that was a gift; to be able to sense the camera.

Eh, this post should not be about me. Damn. Moving on...
Okay these two are more "BFFY photo moment" type. And yeah I think when I was small, I have a thing for rabbits. Back when we're small, my parents love to bring us to that plaster of paris shop and there's one time when I chose to paint a rabbit. I think my mom finished it nicely (I am the less artistic one in the house :P) and I loved it a lot! Apparently I think plaster of paris stuffs are like dolls; so I carry that rabbit around, and sadly on the same day, I accidentally dropped it on the floor, and that thing was broken into two; the head and the body. If I am not mistaken my dad manage to take a photo before I dropped it on the floor, but I couldn't find that picture. sobs.

But now I think I am over rabbits. They're less friendly and they love to make babies, so I don't find them as cute as cats. So my "accessory" for photo sessions has changed to:
A cat and it's alive! That's preans by the way. I think he's just several months old at that time. That's why he looked so small. 1999. That was 10 years ago! What a coincidence!

Okay I shouldn't talk about me. Ugh I just can't help it. So sorry.

Back to our topics.

Look at my BFFY. He's soo slim, and always smiling! A happy kid eh? He always told me that his best years were the first 3 years of his life. I beg to differ. See him smiling? I bet its because I'm around with him. We were the dynamic duo back then. If he's in trouble, then so am I. We did almost everything together, like sunbathing on the rooftop while waiting for pakcik watermelon, playing lego, TMNT figurines, Mickey Mouse computer games, picit2 berudu, shaving Luqman's head to make it look like a football, watching him play other computer games (prince of persia and paper boy especially), and more. I got so bored if he's at his pre-school, so my parents' solution was to enrol myself into the same pre-school. So I got in so early. Haha. Oh, less stuff about me. sheesh. I can't seem to bear that in mind.

And he got older. Look at his glasses! Classic! According to Husna she also has the same glasses. Probably that was the fashion back then. I can't help myself but to laugh everytime I saw this photo. And this time, he was not very happy. He smiled in pictures less. I think I am gonna blame the specs - I think they are making him sad. He tried to deny that he's short sighted. I remembered that we figured about his sight problems when we were at Zoo Melaka, cuz he can't read signs which is just a few feet away from him. Tuhla baca dalam gelap lagi. Oh he likes to read. A lot. And he likes to read before he goes to bed. So that explains why.

Or probably he thinks that's the new pose. A more serious style. Well, it kinda worked.

Well, this is him now:
p/s: oi firdaus kacau je buat muka sedih dalam gamba ni. pfft.

So this is him now. All grown up, big (like, literally), and always happy. These pics somehow summarize what he likes to do; playing his game, eating (everything. well almost everything), making jokes, and pose for the camera. I think vain-ess and camwhore-ness are in our blood.

I am glad that he has chosen his path, by doing what he loves to do. Although he is a pain in the ass, most of the times annoying and behaving like a mentally ill kid, I still love him no matter what. I am jealous of him of course, because he's so talented, and he can make others feel so happy when he's around them.

Like these boys:
Not the boy in blue. We don't even know him. See how happy the two boys are. They look up to him as if he's their idol. Serious. I bet one of the many reasons why they both loovee Upin and Ipin its because of him.

And today, my BFFY turns 24. And this post is to celebrate the day that he's getting older. Haha. Okay, you're 24.

To my BFFY Adam,

HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY!
May you have a blast celebrating your special day.
May Allah bless you always.
Love,
Farah

Hope you'll like this post Abang. Hadiah tu, nanti2 la ye. hehe.

Oh in case you all don't know what BFFY stands for. It's "BEST FRIENDS FOREVER Y'ALL!"

That's our so-called BFF nickname for each other. lol.

tax tax tax tax tax

Actually the reason I was in front of this laptop is because I need to find some sections for my Advance Tax assignment.

Apparently I was too excited because I just found out the "Malaysian" name for Kamen Rider so I decided to blog about it.

Then after finished the post I go back to my assignment.

Only to realized I haven't looked up the sections for the assignment.

Ugh I don't like assignments!

So here I am. Hopefully I won't forget about my assignment again...

Satria Baja Hitam

Rowena told me the name first; Kamen Rider. But then Adam gave me a more familiar name which I am sure I heard of it when I was watching these kind of stuff. Its Satria Baja Hitam.

I always thought the name was "Kasra Baja Hitam" but then when I googled it I found stuff unrelated to cartoons or this live-action shows, instead theres one link to agricultural stuff...

So I know its totally wrong. I know the word Kasra is totally wrong.

How the hell the word came into my mind?

Let's just find out what Kasra is...

Googled it, and found Kasra is a name. Not a noun.

Ah well.

Go go Power Rangers.

Spent the Friday night with dear housemates, Palie & Bgaj. Palie went back early tho, so I spent the rest of the night lepak-ing with Nadiah.

Then there's Power Rangers on TV. But not the Mighty Morphin one, I think its the second generation, the one that used vehicles as robots. Tommy becomes the red ranger, not white. Tommy is the name right?

We were laughing our ass off watching it. Damn, how come we were so into Power Rangers back then??

I find it so stupid!

But then when I was a kid, I followed Power Rangers. Especially the Mighty Morphin; the first ever Power Rangers. I think that's the best Power Rangers.

I wanted to be the Yellow Ranger back then, and I still think Sabre-Toothed Tiger is so hot and cool. Haha.

We went to watch the movie at the big screen, and we collected the McD happy meal toys. We had the complete set. Then we 'berangan' to be the rangers. I think Adam chose Black, Fash chose Pink, Luqman chose Red, Ayish chose Green... or maybe Blue. Hah I can't remember...

and I remembered we were so pissed when it was banned for awhile. I was right? All because of the word Morphin.

There's also Ultraman. and whats the other one? The one in black, always with his motorcycle. Macam lalat sikit tu. There's also Gaban, but I don't recall watching it. heh.

but they must involve weird deserted lands, cities that were destroyed like crazy (and they're back okay the next time we watch it, or after the big fight), exaggerated & un-cool effects, poses before fighting and before transformations, stupid villians, dying or losing before making a comeback to win(flashing signal, or maybe decided to combine as a huge Megazord).

But live-action shows like that were so cool for us all. Really something amazing for us when we're kids.

The 7 year old.

So we went to my uncle's farm yesterday. the kambings, as usual, are soo adorable! especially the few days old babies. I just feel like bringing them home as pets!

comel kan? the kambing i mean. I'm trying to imitate a kambing's face. Tak jadi of course :P

At the farm, we met a girl. She's 7 and she's super talkative! The amazing part is, she talks about teenagers' stuffs. Should I say amazing? Like she talks about how to use YouTube and watch that "How To Be Emo" clips, I mean, when I'm 7, I don't care to use the computer unless I want to play games. And she knows how to surf the net already! Amazing kan? But actually, that is not too surprising as my neighbour who is also 7 knows how to use YM. I'm already surprised before. haha.

Kids nowadays. They're too advanced I think. Like this girl, she talks about how she finds Zac Efron & Rob Pattinson are hot. She even screamed "Zac Efron I love youuu!!! aaaa". Funny2. I don't think I give a damn on who's handsome and who's not (when I'm her age). hahaha. I am more concern about my barbies, polly pockets, and my fights with fash. Oh one more thing, she can sing Shakira's hips don't lie. How's that? And she wants to wear a tube dress if she can perform that in Tom Tom Bak. Hebat tak? I don't know what is a tube dress until I enter high school. Am I late or she is so advance??

Through-out the series of conversations with her, we knew that she's a die-hard-fan of High School Musical. And she started to name us based on the characters. She thinks Juju should be Sharpay and I should be Gabriella. Lawak gile ok. Then she continued "akak, kalau akak nak jadi Gabriella akak tak boleh pakai tudung lahh..."

And she started to called Juju Sharpay and she called me Gabriella. How cute..

Okay that is one.

Then she talks about Twilight and that is when she started to drool for Edward. "Hensem nyerr Edward tu! I nak jadi Bella lahh," she said. I was like.. wow, a 7 yr old watch Twilight? Okay maybe its something kids would enjoy. Altho I think if I am a kid I won't be bothering to watch that kind of movie and ended up drooling for Edward.

After that she started to give us boyfriends. She said Juju's boyfriend should be Troy and my boyfriend should be Edward Cullen. haha. I am Bella to her now. Then again, she said the same thing "Tapi kalau akak nak jadi Bella, akak tak boleh pakai tudung laa.."

I sighed. Kids.
I still cannot accept the fact that they're now more advanced. hahahaha.

I should start registering that fact into my head.

Asterix and Cleopatra.

I found this at the mall a few days back. One movie that I love to watch when I was little. But I am not the type who reads, so I don't bother reading the comics, although my dad has all of them (I think).

So I bought it.

And somehow I am amazed with myself, cuz I still remember most of my favorite scenes in detail. And I just cannot stop laughing watching them. They bring back memories. Maybe that is one of the reasons why.

Especially this one:

Because the lion reminds me of Adam.

I really should watch this with you Abang. But I can never be like the lion. ROFL.

How cute.

Nana & Vivy heard this conversation while we're at the beach.

There were two kids. A boy and a girl. I bet they just knew each other on that day itself.

Boy: Hey lady, what are you doing?
Girl: Don't call me stupid names like that.

How cute. I won't forget this. Now I am writing it down so I will remember it. Hopefully til I grow older (at least).

Is there a probability that the girl, will meet the boy when she grows older (assuming they don't know each other now)? and if her parents knew about the conversation, I bet they'll tell her when she big enough to understand.

I bet the boy will be a charmer. And from the conversation it seems that he has a crush on the little girl. Well I might be wrong, especially if the boy also thinks the word 'lady' is a stupid name. Nah. He's a charmer :p

Usually if you watch teen flicks, cases like the girl will meet the boy in the future and fell in love with him is possible to happen.

That made me realized, do I have a childhood crush on someone who is from my age? Like you know, you go to the kindergarten, then there's a boy you're friends with, then you remembered that you actually like him.

Can't remember that I have one. What I do remember is I had a crush on this twins from my neighbourhood - and I confessed to them. Tak malu. How embarrassing. I think I have a thing towards twins. LOL! Uh-oh. So twins. Beware?

Okay someone my age... lets see.

Oh I remembered this one boy. I think his name is Nafi. The reason why I remembered him is because my brothers and Kak Nah always teased me with him. Even when I'm older. Ibu told me I actually befriend with him cuz I feel kesian to him; no one wants to be his friend.

Honestly I don't remember any fond/sweet/fun memories with him. Probably cuz I think he's the quiet type. So we don't have funny/memorable conversations together. Two things that I remembered about him; 1. He's in the same 'bangau oh bangau performance' with me and 2. when I got back home (the kindergarten's van sent me home) Kak Nah will definitely wait for me outside. And she'll start to wave goodbye to the boy with a loud "byeee Nafii!". Then Adam & Kak Nah will start teasing.

I hate it when they do that.

What funny fact involving the boy that I remember is, we all thought he's an Indian. But apparently,

He's a Malay.

Seriously, he looked like an Indian alright.

Now I wonder, where is he now?

1996

Ma'ngah posted this on Facebook.

Finally I got the full picture.

And so some of the Atok Aziz Clan has started to post up comments on this photo:

many years ago..
now ade yg dah kawin..
hhehe
imagine that..

hahaaaa...ada yang dah kawen.
ada yang dah pregnant.
and ada yang nak kawin ujung tahun nih.

what year was that?
now pokok belakang dah gone dah..
ganti wit atoks gazeebo..

Adam reckons its the '96 picture. My hair is always the same; til I turn 11 as it gets a little bit longer and at the age of 13, as I started to get bob-cut. Plus, I was kneeling (I may vanish from the pic, or probably you'll see a very little bit of me if I sit) so I don't know how tall I was. Alah, not that I can tell from my height. It was more or less the same til I reached puberty. Maybe I gain height from time to time but not as much. So I can't tell how old I was at that time. However, I still think he's right. Firdaus looked like he's one year old. And Adam started to wear his glasses when he's in Year 4 - and that was in '95. And the first glasses were 'cooler' than that one. Haha.

Well, I am pretty sure its '96 now cuz I suddenly noticed Arwah Ehsan. He's still a baby. He passed away at the age of 11. And that was last year. Basically he was born on July '96. Maybe this was taken at the end of the year. or probably early '97.

Ah whateff. Don't think 'what year is that' really matter to me. Probably I'll wait til they confirmed it. No time to waste, I have to start with my stuffs.

Hah I used whateff. That sounds cool, no? Poyo ah.

Anyway, we're all have grown up. And our family has expanded with more additions into this clan.

Some have started working. Some have graduated. Some still stuck in schools. Back then, we were running around Atok's house. Now we don't, instead we do our new routine; talking, crapping and laughing. Haha. Or probably watching the small ones running around the house. Or bully them?

Last year Allah took one person from us, but this year he sent a few more to join our "Atok Aziz Clan". Alhamdulillah. Rezeki kan tu?

To the newbies, welcome to our clan. Haha.

But the one who left will always be missed. Al-Fatihah.

I am feeling a bit nostalgic now. I miss them so much.

And... I'm getting older. Noo.. don't wanna be an adult!

together forever.

the lovey-dovey couple? number one, look at our hairstyles. sama siot. number two, why am I (in the first pic) looking at Fash? number three, why are we holding hands?

It was nothing to anyone if they see small girls were holding hands. But not when we're teenagers. When I was in school, people find it weird for us girls to hold hands. As if we're an item.

Anyway...

look at how i dress up. rempit ok! the pink shoes definitely cute. but it cannot go with the green tshirt that I was wearing! ah I don't have much choice anyway. At that time, I only had a pair. I should've worn a pink/belt. baru la matching rite. haha. That must be the minnie mouse belt.

but the first day of school picture is the best. Love it. at last, I have a pic of us going to school on the first day. Wonder why we didn't wear our pinafores. Probably because its Friday. The baju looked besar cuz its long. But I love the colorful bag! haha.

I can't even remember what day it was.
fashee nadish: nnt kalo awk balik msia
fashee nadish: kt blk msia
fashee nadish: kene amik gamba same mcm gamba gamba ni

fashee nadish: tau takpe
FM: dress purple tu
FM: pastu nak cari kasut pink and selua lipat ada corak kat mana?
FM: LOL!
This is form 5. Hari Sukan kot.

Yes the exams are over. Finally. But I cannot stop worrying over the outcomes of the exams and yeah the upcoming events which is just a week away. Scary. I need to start making to-do list. And make sure everything is moving according to plan. I have a week to prepare for everything. Ah takut. Tapi takpe. Hopefully things will go smooth. amin...~

Gee.

I watched Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian yesterday together with Aqilah and Palie. A good way to make you feel better after a day of hecticness and sucky-ness. At least the fairy tales helped me to forget all my worry-ness that I have. And watching Prince Caspian and King Edmond on a big screen is = bliss. haha.

And I love the soundtrack. Layan sangat sangat sangat. Go and check out Regina Spektor's The Call.

The 'lovey-dovey' parts they had were quite lame. But I still think they're kinda cute together. Haha.

Talking about the 'lovey-dovey' thing, today my mom called and told me that my eldest cuzzen is getting married. Earlier in May my cuzzen who's one year older than me got married. And soon is going to be another cuzzen.. and also my aunt. I. am. so. happy. for. them!

keluarga semakin berkembang :) hee. congratulations to all of you. as if u're reading lah kan :p

I shall go to bed. Its another long day tomorrow. Need to do a lot of things.

ah. I need a holiday. a proper one.
