December 1st.

Warning: This post may contain spoilers. Harap maklum :P

For awhile I think it's so much better to "borrow" other people's words to sum up how I feel. That's when Tumblr reblogs come in handy. But then, they're not from you. Not your words. I should start blogging again, keeping this one updated regularly.

Its summer here in Wellington. I was thinking of working part time so that I have extra cash to travel, and to buy stuff. Looked around for it, but unfortunately for now the luck is still not on my side. It's hard to get a job when you're lacking experience, and when you only want to work for a short period of time. Well, I just have to keep on trying.

So I ended up doing stuff I usually do over the holidays - watching movies, watching TV series, and wasting my time with unnecessary activities.Wasted my time, but I enjoyed it. This is the only time I have anyway, because I'll be busy next year for sure. So why not just do things I can do while I still have the time?

I think I have set a new record for myself - watched 4 different movies at the cinema in just a week. I don't remember going to the cinema so much for one week before. That happened on the week New Moon was out. So it's obvious New Moon is on the list. Other than that I watched My Sister's Keeper, 2012 and This Is It.

So how's the most anticipated movie of the year (for me) - New Moon?

I even bought this t-shirt with Aqilah to be worn during the screening:

But it ended up only me wearing one because Aqilah couldn't find hers. I reckon she accidentaly brought back hers when she went back home during Spring Break...

Semangat kan?

Well, I think the movie wasn't so bad. I prefer the movie than the book surprisingly. Usually when the movie is based on a book, you'd prefer the book because of the details, and sometimes movies cut off or change some scenes to fit into a 2-hour show.

But for New Moon? I would prefer the movie. One reason is because of Jacob and his abs! ahah okay that's not the reason actually. For me the book is draggy, and depressing, so the movie is like cutting all those crap and make it shorter. Although it's still draggy, but it's better because it's shorter so that's good for me. Seriously, if you're not a fan, or you didn't read the book, just don't go to the cinema. Trust me, you'll find it a waste of your money. I think the fans will appreciate the movie.

Let's wait for Eclipse. They should have more actions there. hee

Well the week was well spent I guess. The movie choices were not bad for me. I like My Sister's Keeper - it's so touching, and I bet reading the book is much better than just watching the movie. Maybe I should give it a go. I think 2012 is really scary, like 10 times scarier than Sinking of Japan for me as it's the end of the world, but I was pretty disappointed with the movie because the ending is not like what I've expected. I wanted everyone to die! because you know, its THE END OF THE WORLD! but ah well. Its just a movie anyway.

What I have learnt from the movie:
1. Have 1 Billion Dollars. But to make 1 Billion Dollars are... impossible. So..
2. Get a pilot license. Or maybe marry/ be a really good friend to a pilot. If possible a hot and selfless one. Keep them to you at all time - since you don't know when is "the end of the world"
3. Own a plane for yourself. I think this is possible...
4. Consider migrating to China.
5. Be selfish. If you are selfless you are definitely going to die.
I know in reality, when the end of the world comes, you know you won't survive. Nauzubillah, I should pray to God that I won't be around during the end of the world... Aminn. But maybe the list above should be useful is one of the big disasters happened. Haha.

Out of the 4 movies watched that week, This is It is the best!

I was in awe the whole time. If this show still on, I think I would pay any amount just to go and catch this show. It's just phenomenal. It is another whole new level of concert experience. You can see how hard MJ worked for this. For a fifty year old to be doing basically everything is just wow! Especially the choreography part. I don't know whether I can even dance with full energy when I turn 50. I think the non-fans can also appreciate this movie. Cuz I am not really a huge fan anyway, I mean I am not those who can sing all of his songs, and I am not someone who remember all the dance moves, or try dressing up like him, or learn the moonwalk. I just grew up listening to his songs, can sing some of his songs and stuff. And yet I love the movie. It's worth it. This one is on my top-10 movies of the year definitely.

I think I would love to experience pop concerts. Like Britney Spears'. That should be different than the concerts that I have been to.

But up until today, I haven't watch any new movies at the cinema. Yesterday we took the booklet for the vouchers, so maybe soon we will pay a visit to the cinema. For now I want to watch Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (I don't know whether this one is still in cinemas or not...), and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I can't remember other movies that I want to watch for now. Oh, the movie The Lovely Bones, or Time Traveller's Wife should be nice too.

Yeah but for now, let's just watch movies and series at home. I think 4 movies in a week is like too much. Maybe I can go to the cinema next week. ehe.

Time to go. Probably I'll continue blogging later. I need to surf the internet at the uni. Ours is on dial-up so it's super slow...

later!

Malam Pop.

I am too tired to blog, but I bet I am going to be busy soon. Well you know, raya is coming real soon. Then there's tons of assignments, some other stuff to look forward to. I just have the feeling I might not have time for blogging. Maybe for tumblr - yes. Okay I am just so into tumblr-ing right now.

I am pretty tired tonight. It was a long week, maybe because all this while I have long weekends, but not this time though. I had to sit for a test. And just realized that I have a long list of stuff that I have to do, with exams coming up in November. So thinking about them adds up to this tired-ness.

Yes, this time, my papers are all in November - boo me.

So anyway, let's see whether I can finish this post.

Right after the test, I went to watch Up 3D - my first 3D movie experience. It was pretty uncomfortable at first, since I had no choice but to wear 2 glasses to watch that movie. Thank God the movie was awesome so I didn't get too distracted with the uncomfortable condition at that time. Movie like this is something worth watching at the cinema and worth paying more for the glasses because it was beautifully made! As usual, its Pixar's -so it has to be beautiful! Maybe for the fact that it plays a lot with heights, so I guess wearing the spectacles makes it more real. These kind of stuff really excite me. I feel like a kid again :D wheee

Its only September, but I realized there's too many great movies this year. I don't know which one is the best - should it be Inglourious Basterds or Star Trek? There's several months to go so I can't decide now. But out of all movies I watched this year, I think by far, Inglourious Basterds is the one that gave quite an impact on me. I like QT's movie so I guess that's one of the main reasons why I really love this movie : I like his style - gory but not scary, and at the same time its hilarious and full with suspense, and of course - really cool characters. And its like watching a foreign movie because the setting is in France, and they speak German & French most of the time. This movie makes me think a lot about some stuff too. So its really good.

My favorite character in the movie ;)

District 9 is another one 'foreign movie' because there's alien language, and the characters are South African - so they speak English with accent. One weird thing is, Aqilah and I find this movie very funny. But apparently others don't laugh as much. Actually, I think we laughed way too much. Really, there's some simple jokes that I think are laugh-able, but I wonder why people didn't laugh. Maybe its not funny. heh.

Now I wonder, how good will the New Moon be? Maybe it's gonna be one overrated movie of the year. Its not that I don't like it, I really do, actually. But I since everyone was so craazyy (as in really really really crazy) about it, like in the US, we can start pre-book the tickets for November! Tak gile ke tu? And Twilight Saga will win many awards especially the ones that need votes. Shows that how people are so crazy about them. I really hope its going to be good.

Now I have to go to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. Oh, by the way, what can you find in the picture above? I mean there's something hiding in the photo. huhu.

Edwardmania.

Warning: This post may contain spoilers. Harap maklum :P

credits to the girl who made this

I know most of you have heard of FML. Well I am one of the avid followers. I ran through most of them, and to check out this website is a routine for me. I have to do it daily. Well its a good reminder that my life is not as bad as I always think it is. Everyone has their shitty days. Not just me.

So I came across these:
#1
Today, after spending the night hanging out with a beautiful girl we start to walk back to my place. Halfway there she turns and says, "I wish you were a vampire" and goes back home.

#2
Today, my girlfriend dumped me proclaiming she wanted someone more like her "Edward". I asked her who Edward was. She held up a copy her "Twilight" book. She was talking about a fictional vampire. FML
Lawak gak la kan? I mean the girls, soo into Edward! But yeah, okay I have to admit this. I am also one of those who was blinded by Edward. Especially after you read the Twilight Saga, most girls will have to agree with me; who doesn't want someone like Edward? He's like the perfect guy every girl wants to have. Well there must be at least one thing about him that will make you swoon and go ga-ga. And at least one/some thing(s) about him which is what you want in a guy.

Do you agree with me?

Since I was talking about the book, let me just crap a lil bit more about how I feel about this saga, which has been one of my favorite series of all time. Huhu.

Well I'm not the type who likes to read. Its hard for me to get hooked to books, and usually I'll follow the ones others also love to follow. Giler common, and not adventurous. Haha. But yeah, before this, I never gt hooked to a love series. So Twilight Saga is kinda like the first.

One of the many reasons why they're my fave:

While you're reading it, the book somehow convinced me that any typical, average girl like Bella will/is able to get the perfect guy she wants, like Edward. It is quite easy to relate yourself (if you're a girl) to Bella as she is designed to be more or less, like you.

But that's the thing, the only way for you to get that most perfect guy on earth is to meet someone who is immortal, and about 100 years older than you are, and still looks like he's your age. Which in this series, the possible way to meet them up is to make the guy a vampire.

When I finished reading it, it felt like I just got a slap of reality, waking me up from the fantasy that (many) girls have built; of waiting for the perfect guy to come. He'll never come. Almost impossible lah kan. So that's why there's another character whom Bella also fell in love with; Jacob.

For me, he's like Mr-perfect-for-you. I mean, he isn't really the one who has everything that you want in a guy, but he makes you happy and he's more real. Only one thing that is not real about him, which he's also can be another mythical creature. But since he's more human, it shows that he's the more possible for you to get in real life. He's also someone who was born around the same era as Bella (not from another century :P). If there's no vampires, there won't be Jacob transforming into a wolf. Lagi lah normal, and reflects reality even more. Bella won't meet Edward in the first place and will just be with Jacob in the end.

Don't bother to waste your time looking for Mr Perfect. He doesn't really exist. There must be something in a person that you find unappealing, or flaws in the person that makes him/her doesn't fit to the term "Mr/Miss Perfect". But there's definitely someone out there who is perfect for you. The flaws that he/she has actually makes him/her more perfect than you can imagine ;).

(As if I have experience je. haha. Cakap macam hebat kan :P)

But yeah, that is how the story should be. If there's no vampires, no Edward, Bella, Jacob, the twisted storyline and all, there won't be a story anyway. Or if there is one, probably I won't be attracted to even read it.

Well that's all I have to share for now. I have to go to sleep, need to start early tomorrow.

Nite peeps =)

p/s:

1. I can't wait for New Moon to come out!
2. Why I like study week: it gives me the vibe to blog. But why I don't like study week: I have to study and I am so lazy! dannggg

The 7 year old.

So we went to my uncle's farm yesterday. the kambings, as usual, are soo adorable! especially the few days old babies. I just feel like bringing them home as pets!

comel kan? the kambing i mean. I'm trying to imitate a kambing's face. Tak jadi of course :P

At the farm, we met a girl. She's 7 and she's super talkative! The amazing part is, she talks about teenagers' stuffs. Should I say amazing? Like she talks about how to use YouTube and watch that "How To Be Emo" clips, I mean, when I'm 7, I don't care to use the computer unless I want to play games. And she knows how to surf the net already! Amazing kan? But actually, that is not too surprising as my neighbour who is also 7 knows how to use YM. I'm already surprised before. haha.

Kids nowadays. They're too advanced I think. Like this girl, she talks about how she finds Zac Efron & Rob Pattinson are hot. She even screamed "Zac Efron I love youuu!!! aaaa". Funny2. I don't think I give a damn on who's handsome and who's not (when I'm her age). hahaha. I am more concern about my barbies, polly pockets, and my fights with fash. Oh one more thing, she can sing Shakira's hips don't lie. How's that? And she wants to wear a tube dress if she can perform that in Tom Tom Bak. Hebat tak? I don't know what is a tube dress until I enter high school. Am I late or she is so advance??

Through-out the series of conversations with her, we knew that she's a die-hard-fan of High School Musical. And she started to name us based on the characters. She thinks Juju should be Sharpay and I should be Gabriella. Lawak gile ok. Then she continued "akak, kalau akak nak jadi Gabriella akak tak boleh pakai tudung lahh..."

And she started to called Juju Sharpay and she called me Gabriella. How cute..

Okay that is one.

Then she talks about Twilight and that is when she started to drool for Edward. "Hensem nyerr Edward tu! I nak jadi Bella lahh," she said. I was like.. wow, a 7 yr old watch Twilight? Okay maybe its something kids would enjoy. Altho I think if I am a kid I won't be bothering to watch that kind of movie and ended up drooling for Edward.

After that she started to give us boyfriends. She said Juju's boyfriend should be Troy and my boyfriend should be Edward Cullen. haha. I am Bella to her now. Then again, she said the same thing "Tapi kalau akak nak jadi Bella, akak tak boleh pakai tudung laa.."

I sighed. Kids.
I still cannot accept the fact that they're now more advanced. hahahaha.

I should start registering that fact into my head.

The year end countdown.

It's the day to be remembered. always. I may have another chance to do this again. But I don't think I will. This is going to be the first and the last. Although the fact that I didn't get to parade properly make me want to do this again, but I don't know. I just want to keep the memories just between us. My closest friends in Wellington and I.

Well, let's just wait and see. By the way, I have better pictures of me. I know, this one looks a bit... inappropriate. But personally I find this picture very alive. That's why I love it. Once I have developed all pics, I'll post em all in FB.

The first weekend in Malaysia was spent with them. The times I feel it is okay for them to call me "Kak Farah". There are also the times when I can't help myself but to correct them just to make me feel younger. Haha. That's only my reflect reaction. Honestly, I feel 2 days is NOT ENOUGH! Wishing that we have more days. With every morning spent with that 'Senaman Malaysia'. Giler cool okay. I am not sure of the name but I guess that's what they call it. Reminded me of the days with budak2 Bahtera Budaya.

I just hope that we could spend at least another day more. They're just like family, so I can't get enough of being with them. Their behavior, reactions, sporting-ness, giler-ness. Best. Just like old times.

Hah. Tomorrow, I mean this Morning, I am going to spend the whole day with the peeps I love spending time with. Hah, I cannot wait! I miss Janda Baik so much. The fresh air, the green scenery, the cooling stream, and the people who are going to be there with me... =) Tak sabar nye...

*sigh* I have been quiet. Well, its not that my days have been really plain. No, instead, they're very eventful. But I refuse to share, not now. Not yet I guess. But I don't think they're gonna be interesting if I want to share em now. Nak cerita pon dah takda mood. Heh.

Right now. I am concentrating on the days ahead. The year 2008 is ending. So is the year 1429 (Hijriah Calendar). I am planning to get serious with my resolutions. Although all this while, I keep on saying resolutions are meant to be broken. I am trying to stop that mantra. I need a change, at least. As much as I hate changes, well, I can't stop them from not happening right? Especially when right now, I am in a transition of life. It feels a bit sucky, really. Its exactly the time where I feel like running away from reality. And live in a fantasy. Escaping reality sounds like the perfect plan. Like just sleep away and live in my dreams. And have someone like Edward Cullen (or the closest to him) as my boyfriend. Yes, people I finally watched it just now Was seated at the front. The first row, hows that? But its worth it. Puas hati. I like the movie. Especially the baseball game. The best! I can join all of u to drool now. Ha ha ha! And I think I can start reading now =).

Okay back to what I was blabbing about. Escaping reality sounds really good. But apparently that is never an option. Darn it.

I have a few resolutions in mind, but I don't think I am going to disclose it for now. Probably I have to be precise first. And I definitely have to write em somewhere. I need to remember them, and remember them by heart. I am turning 21. So NO MORE fooling around.

I found a new toy. R4 card for my NDS. Giler puas hati okay. The best part: I've downloaded "Mortal Combat". Played it. Just like the PC Game. PUAS HATI GILER! I have been wasting time with my NDS. sheesh. Let me get over the Twilight fever and this Mortal Combat fever first, then I'll concentrate on life.

Hah. I am escaping, well, I am trying to. Maybe just for another day. Try not to let the fever control me. heh.

Anyway, yeah I forgot to make this statement: peeps, I am already in Malaysia. I apologize for not informing anybody. I am in the process of collecting phone numbers. Its so hard to get to you guys without your numbers!! Do find me okay! I am planning to be in touch with many people as I can.

Okay I better get some sleep.

Good night everyone!

By the way, please remind me this:
"Think less and love your life more"
Always.
